Role purpose
Tonaque Enterprises is seeking an experienced Mine Site Manager to take overall operational responsibility for a developing mining site. The successful candidate will report to Tonaque Enterprises management and coordinate and control day-to-day mine-site operations.
Core responsibilities
- Overall day-to-day management of the mine site
- Supervision and coordination of site workers
- Production planning, monitoring and reporting
- Maintaining proper worker discipline and chain of command
- Ensuring only authorised and registered personnel operate on site
- Coordinating mining activities, equipment and specialist personnel
- Maintaining accurate operational and production records
- Monitoring productivity, downtime and operational performance
- Supporting cost control and responsible use of equipment and consumables
- Ensuring safety procedures and lawful operating requirements are followed
- Coordinating with licensed blasting personnel and other technical specialists
- Escalating safety, compliance or production concerns to Tonaque management
- Supporting structured, accountable mining operations
Candidate profile
- Significant practical mining experience
- Previous mine-site supervisory or management responsibility
- Strong underground gold-mining exposure preferred
- Good understanding of production control and mining operations
- Ability to manage workers firmly and professionally
- Strong safety and compliance mindset
- Good record-keeping and reporting ability
- Ability to work in a developing or startup mining environment
- Willingness to be site-based
- Ability to work under the operational authority and policies of Tonaque Enterprises
A Mine Blasting Licence is advantageous but is not mandatory if a separate appropriately licensed blaster is appointed.
